General Information

The festival booklet with all relevant information will be published on the website two weeks before the festival. All participants will also receive an email with the booklet.

Registration & Tickets

You’ll need to create a Stir it! Account before booking a pass: Stir it! Registration.
Once your profile is set up, you can choose and sign up for the pass you’d like.

Yes, you can! – To keep the balance between dance roles at the festival as even as possible, registrations will not be confirmed until at least the same number of registrations for the other role have been received. Unconfirmed registrations will be placed on a waiting list and confirmed for the festival as soon as the balance is achieved. You will be informed by email once your registration is confirmed.

Both partners have to create their own profile and register individually, choose the same pass, and select matching dance roles (i.e. one Follow (or Switch) and one Lead (or Switch)).
The first registration will remain on a waiting list until the second registration is submitted and meets the above requirements.
Payment is processed individually per registration.

No waiting lists are maintained for sold-out tickets.

There may be participants selling their tickets shortly before the festival (e.g. on social media) . This is not handled by Stir it!, but organized individually.

Yes, and please note the following:

  • The ticket recipient must have a Stir it! Account
  • Only the entire ticket can be transferred, meaning all ticket contents (such as dance role (Follow/Lead/Switch), add-ons, meal registrations, etc.) will be transferred
  • The payment for the ticket transfer must be organized independently
    If you have found a suitable replacement, please inform us via email at registration@stirit.ch before the start of the dance festival.

If you need to cancel your participation at Stir it! unexpectedly, we can refund 50% of the participation fee (excluding transfer fees) until October 31. After this date, no refunds will be issued. However, you can transfer your ticket to someone else.

Food

Yes, there will be snacks like sandwiches, granola bars, etc. at the bar.
You can also book lunch for Saturday and Sunday (for an additional cost) when registering. More information in the registration form.

Classes

For all levels except beginners!

The complexity of the workshops is marked with a “spiciness level” of 🌶️, 🌶️🌶️, or 🌶️🌶️🌶️. This way, you decide how much of a challenge you want.
You don’t need to register for a level. You choose the classes on-site.

Parties & Social Events

Yes, bring a 2 CHF coin to use the lockers in the changing room.

  • Public transport: Take the tram to the stop “Toni Areal” or walk 10 minutes from Hardbrücke train station.
  • There is also a paid parking deck on the roof top.
  • Rent a Publibike.

Inclusion & Behavior

Yes, we enforce a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment. More details in the Code of Conduct Section.

Yes! The Care Team will be easy to identify and introduced at the start so you know whom to approach. You can reach out to us in person, via phone (number to be announced) or email at saferspace@stirit.ch.

Partly — the venue is accessible via elevator.
The ground floor is fully accessible and hosts the parties, some classes, and toilet. The second floor with classrooms and changing rooms is not accessable.

Others

By participating in Stir it!, you give us permission to use and publish photo and video material from this year’s dance festival — unless you inform us that you prefer not to be included. We will not share these with third parties or use them for direct financial gain.
