Festival Passes

Stir it! offers Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz, Shag and more. All lessons are free choice, and no level registration is required.

The Extra FUN Pass includes 6 courses of your choice and three parties.

We also have a super cool band workshop with “The Sheiks (Quartet)” on Sunday, November 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participation is included in the Extra FUN Pass (replaces the dance workshop on Sunday). However, the band workshop can also be booked as a standalone offer (CHF 50.-) or in addition to the Sunday party (CH 80.-). It is aimed at advanced instrumentalists with little or no jazz experience. Two simple jazz standards will be rehearsed, which you will receive in advance to practice: topics such as the structure of the piece, melody arrangement, solo parts and shout parts, role distribution, etc. will be covered. The Sheiks (Quartet):

You can find the detailed schedule, including classes, breaks, and parties, in the festival booklet.

In the workshop booklet, which we will release a few weeks before the workshop starts, you will find the topics of the classes and their difficulty level. You can freely choose them on-site. The complexity of each class will be marked with a “spiciness level” of 🌶️, 🌶️🌶️, or 🌶️🌶️🌶️. The workshop will include classes from all levels except beginner: If you can do send outs, tuck turns or change places and enjoy doing swing outs and charleston basics you are ready for the classes.

Additional Support Options

Volunteering: Earn CHF 100 for 6 hours of volunteer work
Accommodation: Stay with a local dancer as a guest
Solidarity Fund: Request a price reduction in case of financial hardship via the registration form

Dance Roles

You can register as a Follow, Lead, or Switch. We kindly ask you to choose the role you want to focus on during the classes and parties. Due to the free choice concept, we cannot guarantee that all classes will have a balanced ratio of roles. However, during the class, you are free to adjust your role selection to balance out the distribution.

If you want to register with a partner, the following options are available: Follow + Lead, Follow/Lead + Switch, or Switch + Switch.
